The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival was initiated in 1984, held each year traditionally from April 1-30, and attracts hundreds of thousands of people to see millions of tulips bursting into bloom.

The goal was to produce advertisement print materials in different sizes for the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival directed to its target audience of Washington state.
This project's idea was to show the beauty of tulips in bloom by creating unique, colorful illustrations that can convey the mood and feelings of what people experience while being in tulip fields.

Ideation
First of all, the problem was that readers needed information about the festival that is easy to read and accessible; delicate, light, and vivid illustrations attract readers' attention. Illustrations convey the mood of presence and give potential visitors the experience of staying on a tulip field, where a light spring wind lifts tulip petals.
